This is an interesting assortment of S spoiler and S4 bodywork.

The accident in it's history was probably a rear end collision and was repaired with the early spoiler.

vin comes back as an 87
Looks like its ready for the 2500 dollar intake, cam cover refresh

Yeah, I'd be a little suspicious of that 42k original miles. I kind of like that look though. S4 bumpers and early wing.

You never know... maybe somebody really liked the look of the older spoiler, or disliked the wing as being too "showy" or "juvenile". Your guess is as good as mine.

But I must say I like it better than the completely wingless look on the S4 or later cars.
