thanks, Mike. I agree, this is a fantastic forum. I dont get how the 928 is so relatively unknown. And for the price you can get one now. it cost me $21000 for a camry.
Sounds like your first one is a real beauty, must be an awesome color.

I also bought in March, have been taking in as much info from a couple forums as I can. I have learned to tackle many jobs myself and will start a timing belt job after Christmas.

Welcome and congrats!

Congrats to you too.
That will save you some big $$.
How much experience did you already have fixing cars?
What else have you done to your 928. I dont think I can do anything like that.
Tomorrow (Sunday) my car is supposed to arrive. I'm hoping its in decent shape - I have not seen
it yet except in a few pictures. Its an 86 with about 90,000 miles.

Welcome to the Texas Shark Tank - A great group of 928 owners. Make a drive to one of the DFW GTG's and drag some of the Austin guys with you.
PM me your email and I will add you to the Texas list.

Ron,
Send me an email at roger@928sRus and I will add yours to the list.

James is your den mother for the 928 owners club - consider joining. James has probably tagged you on that already though.

Got the car: wow, they look even better when they're yours. I've had very little time to look at it today. Only drove it into the garage. It looks great to me, very shiny paint [must be new? - I'll check soon] has the forged wheels very polished/shiny. The interior is good - the seats are in great shape, all the trim, inside roof etc.. are in good shape. I'll update what I find out.
The truck driver said a couple of things: It looks in pretty good shape, the switches are going to need some attention (they havent been used in awhile), and when my neighbor pulled in with his Mustang, the trucker says "well, there's something you can leave behind" or in the rearview mirror, or something
like that. Its awsome low and wide with the awsome headlights.
One big surprise: I never ever thought she would like it at all, but my wife loves the look. She also
sat in it and didnt want to get out saying its so comfortable she's going to go nap in it.
Early xmas present. )))

Ron, congrats and welcome to 928 ownership.

Lol about your user name. There is no doubt these cars have great "rse's"!

Maybe just add a prefix to it, even if accidental I think you should keep it!

Cheers,
William

Welcome to the ownership club. The Austin group is growing and growing.

You passed a major hurdle there with the wife liking the car; maybe enough to make up for the $$$ down the road you'll be spending on upgrades.

Next I'll tell her about the new PS drops in the garage.
She knows I've got -some- repairs included in the cost of the car, but I'm
not in a hurry to update her yet.
Here's some pictures I have from the PO.
