Don,
I would LOVE to see some more pics of that car. It had black interior with yellow pipping on the seats and the root wood full interior treatment! The car was QUITE IMPRESSIVE!!! There are more than a couple of us on this forum that keep watching for this car to surface again! If you are ever down at any (all) of the Pcar dealerships in H-town ask about it...I think the car was purchased locally and has spent its whole life down there. Last I saw it was 2000 or so and it had like 15k miles on it then!

I had a file on the car, I'll see if I can find it. I have some pictures of the car at a shop that might help out too. I'll see what I can dig up......

Chuck, you know the car well. When I saw it, the owners son was driving it while his 993 was in the shop and was none to impressed with it. Seemed like a real dick to me actually...He was living in Austin at the time...

Chuck,
Understand on the contact info. Too bad you're not able to share it. It would be fun to knock on the door, strike up a conversation, explain that there are some enthusiasts online that genuinely appreciate the rarity of the car, and would love to see some good pictures of it, and see if the owner was ok with that.

Don,
Could be...I took it for the other car though, but sure could be he has the info on the Houston car. Again I would love to know the current disposition... as noted me, Chuck and several other would jump on that car IN A HEART beat if it were to come up for sale.
I took that whole little exchange to be that he had been looking at the mid east car and that IT was damaged and that it was THAT car he had the contact info on...
If you are right and he has the Houston owners contact info I know who will end up with that car if it comes on the market... hint... IT WON'T BE ME!!

BTW James, I have (or had as it relates to the Qatar car) contact info for both.

Chuck,
This might be a cultural difference coming out, but here in TX, it's pretty common to just knock on a door when you want to meet someone, or have something to discuss with someone you don't know. 99% of the time it's received with a big smile and a friendly handshake. So that was just me throwing out a possible approach I'd be comfortable with. I certainly understand though if you know something about the guy that would make that not a good idea.
