We ski in Dec.........and Jan, Feb, March and April but never on boats.

Snowshoes, skates, skis, snowmobiles and even 4x4 cars/trucks................how does the propellor drive the snow then? jet ski?

Ole/Rob...............can you get pics when down there.............only in Texas.

Hey Malcolm,
Pictures of anything in particular? I'm taking my camera to get some shots of the cars, and probably Dealy Plaza, etc., but if there's anything in particular you'd like...???? (That's legal of course)
Let me know.
Best,

These are great times to find out if your heated nozzles work.

For someone who has never driven a 928 in the snow, how does it do? Does one need snow tires?

Depends on the heavyness of the snow. Light snow/fluff and road being sprayed with salt: handles ok (unless you freak out at having salt on your car) but not recommendable. Moderate snow and summer tires: not good. Heavy snow and winter tires: not good (rear drive!) unless you like driving rallye-style.

Hey Don! I don't think y'all participated in the '04 Christmas Eve snowfall. We're down near Beeville (45 min. north of Corpus) and in the 23 years I've lived here it only snowed once. At least two books were published; some of the pictures showed the shoreline on the bay with a foot of snow along the water's edge. Here's a couple of pics of our yard.

Cheryl,

Nice pics! I remember the 04 snowfall well. We were packing to take the kids skiiing in NM right after Christmas, to see snow for the first time, and it snowed in Houston before we left. There was even snow on the beach in Galveston. Looks like you got more than we did though.

(All the folks up north are like shut up already about the snow...)

Man, this driving in the snow stuff is crazy! Of course having winter or at least all season tires makes it MUCH better. We just had some wet roads today and it is pretty cold and when I get on the gas hard but maintain 2nd gear as soon as it hits the peak of the Tq curve the new Kuhmo XS's on my '92 cut lose and the car goes sideways! CRAZY STUFF! Can't imagine trying to drive the car like this on SNOW!
