so i guess the consensus is that it is a 928 S4-any way it is fun to drive and your post is not taken to give me a hard time-it is all understood to be helpful in a humorous way. i have since had the front seat piping replaced in black-looks really sharp. have to get the evolution 928 dvd. now do i replace the front floor mats????
thanks, jim

Jim,
That's still a pretty special car.
Last of the great S4 "roger boxes" (automatic) before they moved to the GTS.
Still a pretty rare car.
You did well.
Roger

Default 1991 928 S4

Hey RunforFun.... not to worry. You have an excellent example of one of the last US production 928 S4...They built no 928 's in 1992 and the next and last model Porsche built was the US 93-95 GTS and there were very few of those worldwide...at 18 yrs old , it is now time to check all those pesky maintenance items that are talked about on this forum...torsion tube end play..intake..motormounts..oil pan gasket.. brake rotors..brake lines... I am now putting together a list of items to buy for my '91 GT that were not done...after the body work and damage repair..I will be doing all of the above and more..Go ahead and register the car on the '928 Registry' and everybody will know your car and it's history..Good Luck, Kevin....have to agree...gotta take off that "928 GTS" sticker ....that's worse than a "Turbo" sticker.....!!!
