Default D90 wheels are white. Who did it?

The wheel centers on my '90gt are body color (GP white). Was this a factory option or did a previous owner do it? In other words, are my white wheels "stock"?

I remember looking at the pics of the car, if it is the one bought in San Luis Obispo, Ca. I do not believe that GP White painted wheels were a stock option. My guess would be a previous owner had them painted?

Painted centers are not stock, however it is an option available from the factory for additional $$. If you look at 928 Registry you will find a list of option codes and the painted centers are included. This option may also get grouped in with a host of other packaged options so the only way you might know for sure is to check the window sticker.

Yes, it is the SLO car. If there is a code then they were a factory option. I call that "stock". I like the look on the white car. I have a bent wheel and will need to paint the replacement. Thought about removing paint on other three but if paint is factory, I will paint the new wheel. I will check the Registry option codes. Thanks

Scanned the option codes on Registry and can't find painted wheels. Are my eyes going? What is the number?

Jim,

I believe this is the code:

XD9 Wheels Painted to match vehicle's color

Jim,

That car does have the code for body colored wheel centers. I remember decoding the car awhile back and that was a Porsche option and is STOCK for that car.

My car has full body colour (white dish) wheels ex factory - but there is no option code listed on the invoice. See P110 in Brian Long for my car. Personnally I think it works for white, where it might not for darker colours. YMMV.
