Kevin - never saw an ad for it. I used to live in Pittsburgh, and that shop was on the way to the airport, so I drove past it from time to time. It was out for nearly a year before I finally drove over there one day to specifically look at it. I talked with the people inside the shop (the shop owner wasn't there) - they told me the owner of the car didn't want to sell it and he wasn't authorizing a fix either. It seemed to me that the owner would only part with it for a hefty sum, but no price was given. It looked like a nice potential, and the damage sure looked fixable without too much. The car then popped up on ebay recently, and Low Miler was asking about it on TOS (RW). There was a bit of discussion there, and the word was it wasn't being sold but going to be parted out. I'm glad you got it - it's too nice of a car to go to waste!

On a side note, and this is something I didn't know until after the fact, but the owner of that shop had a pristine low mileage OB shark that he sold a couple of years back - if I had known about it, I would have bought it. It was red with black interior. Bought by someone here on RL (I forget who).

Good luck with the resto, and post lots of pics!

Yeah man.. I know what you are saying...I cannot wait for the 2010 season to start ..now that I have the 91 GT, the 964 will prolly become a dedicated track car..already got a set of Recaro seats..John sold me a harness from the passenger side of his wrecked GT3 Cup car ...80mph into a wall....broken ankle, stiff neck,,, his Hans device saved his life..he is now building a 2010 GT3 race car. Will post more pics soon....I will find you a 964 C2 ,if you want there are a few around...not any deals out there...but you can drive my C2 any time we all get together for a look at my 91GT..........

Reads like a good plan. Count me in for 2010. By then, my wife's ban on my personal projects will be lifted, and I can learn again to me a man.

Nice score! Good luck with the repair, she looks like a nice one.

Too bad the door doesn't have a rub strip, you could just bolt it right on!
