Default Heard of this guy?

Maverick Marsellis, 38 lives in LA. He actually has over 63 928 Porsche cars.

Never seen a peep about this guy from our S. Cal contingent. Had an article on him in "Heavy Hitters issue #6"...

I thought I had a pretty good collection...I'd love to see this guys set up!

Search this forum for "maverick". You've missed some long and passionate discussions over the years.

Someone had sent me an email with something about him having such a great 928 collection and while the pics of the cars look great there is no telling if he actually OWNS ANY OF THEM! LOL!

James,
I just picked up this magazine the other night as well. Was wondering why I never heard of a guy who had 63 928s. I'll have to go back and read the threads as well.

The short and long of it from looking back already is a REALLY HUGE question mark as to just how many of those (if ANY of those) he actually has the title on in HIS name! Sounds like a REAL NEAT GUY from what has been posted here... NOT! Anyone who would steal your car then repaint it and put a new interior in it to try and hide if from you... LOSER!

I spoke with Maverick at the last Sharktoberfest. He told me that they do their own cabriolet conversions, and their main market is in the Middle East.

I found it very pleasant to chat with him, and he semed to not only love the 928, but also know a great deal about it.

Did he try to steal yours too Nicole? Just kidding. That is his M.O. Be really nice to folks and then steal them blind... at least that is what has been indicated from previous posts/threads from years ago.

Never met the guy, so I guess I should hold my tongue. I am only reposting things that have already been said by others...and most of it has come from first hand reports that from me are now 2nd hand reports...

Maverick is an exceptionally nice person to meet, and certainly has some unique ideas on what kind of things are possible with a 928. My guess on the stories that circle around him is that it might be very easy for someone to forget to perform the due diligence any business transaction, or article, requires.

He brought a black one with some orange interior pieces (he said it was his personal car), and a white one with a purple top.

I don't think he owns 63 928s privately, but maybe through his company.

White with purple does not do it for me (but my wife LOVES purple...she might like that one) but if that black one is the wide body convertible...I'd take that off his hands. I also like the M.C. Hammer red wide body convertible. Actually like that one better...because EVERYONE knows RED cars are faster! LOL!
