Default Norcal Lemons 2.0???

Yes we haven't actually finished a lemons race in a 928 yet, but I'm optimistic the "estate" 84 automatic will finish on sunday, only time will tell

which brings up my next point...I did buy TWO 928's destined for lemons racing...the 84 is nearly done....but the 79 5 speed is sitting waiting its turn for attention........if racing one 928 is good, isn't having two teams at the same races even better?

I've had a couple other local 928ers express interest in a lemons team....but having more than 4 drivers per team limits the seat time per driver.....since we are splitting around 16 hours of race time plus a practice day over the 3 day weekend....so why not have another team.....

it costs around $3k per three day race event per team (entry fee-fuel-tires-consumables)...so that ends up being around $750 per driver on a 4 driver team.... no race license is required, a lemons license is $50 per event... there are 4 events in 2010... March at Infineon, May at Reno-Fernly, August at Thunderhill & December at Buttonwillow.....

if there is enough interest in fielding a 2nd team, then I am willing to build the 79....with help of cour$e.....if I can get a firm commitment from 3 other 928ers who want to race the lemons season......or if someone local wants to step up and take the reigns, I will sell the 79 5 speed for the $250 I'm into it.... all I will ask is that I get to be a paying driver at least once...
