As said before this connects to a hose for the air pump. Go to a hardware store and buy a rubber end piece that is used on chairs to keep the legs from slipping. You will find the item in the section that sells door stoppers...

Schocki, thanks for the tip, but I'd rather connect it as intended.
What I need now is to locate which hose goes where, and where should be correctly routed all the lines/cables/hoses.
Really, if someone who owns a well maintained L Jetronic 928 could take the time to make some good photos, this would help me greatly.
