Updated #2: Just Bought this S4... Blown Motor w/pics
#19
Hey, I'm all for saving a worthy 928 (despite my avatar). But don’t get too upset that this S4 will be put to death; we have to remember that it’s the death of cars like this that keep the 928’s in our garages running. Think of what life would be like if every part for your 928 had to be OEM… used parts are what keeps cars like ours going, and allow for upgrades: for every deceased S4 there is an OB with better brakes. Besides, the breed is always stronger when you kill off the weaker ones. It’s got an abandonment title, a poorly done repaint, funky wiring in the fuse panel, much of the electrics are inoperable, missing a fuel pump, hasn’t been on the road since 2005, was abandoned on a street in PA, coffee stains on the carpet, the cluster is dead and the mileage is unknown. To me, it’s got a few too many strikes against it to be restored. I say let its organs help the stronger 928’s in the herd survive.

I'd be interested in the driver's door speaker grills and plastic surrounds that hold the grills on if they are in good shape. Also the driver's and passenger red door lights located in the jam area. Joe

Interested in the interior rear quarter panels, if they are not warped...Any pics would be great....

a flex plate check/ crank end play check a fuel pump a good detail and possibly a timing belt and you have a minimum 6K car why the rush to part out this nice looking car????
I am all for keeping a car like this on the road, 928 international is having their half price sale in a few weeks so fix this one with some less expensive parts and make it a driver.
I would check the hot post connections and see if all of the relays and fuses are in the correct positions
