Any tips on putting the cover back over the sunroof motor?
I took it off to do a thorough cleaning and I can't get it back on? Is there a trick to it?
Note to self: Never touch this cover again!!!
Thanks.

This cover is not put on properly on a lot of the cars I have seen. And it can be a real bugger to get back together.
If you inspect the car and the cover carefully you should be able to see how it attaches.

A picture would be greatly appreciated. I have problems with mine occasionally falling off when I open the rear hatch. Would love to know what I'm doing wrong...

Yea, a picture of what the small clip on the cover actually clips to would definately help.
Maybe they should have put a warning sticker on them!

There are 3 clips on the cover.
1 the metal wire spring slides through (rear),
and 2 forward facing lips.
The 2 forward facing lips most people just slide onto the headliner which is incorrect. there are 2 metal receptacles on the roof for them. In order to get them in you must push up (with a fair amount of force). And at the same time push forward to get them into these metal holders.
Once you manage to get it in, it will no longer come out on its own.

I found a picture some months ago either in PET or through a search on this forum. I am at my office and don't have access to my 928 files at home. If I remember correctly ther is a long wire spring that if you pull down you can connect the clip and then slide on the front clips. Mine needed some adjustment to the clips as the po had bent them.

Calgary can you post pics tonight? I don't see the spring that the clip attaches to that you guys are talking about? I'd appreciate it.
