So will that 88 EZK work on my 89?
Yes I have cleaned the conectors and tried different relays relays. what really confuses me and makes me think the EZK is bad is that the SHARKTUNER CANT TALK TO IT. That has to be either a big clue or a sepperate problem, Yes?
what is the Ignition Overheat Monitoring System, is it the black box under the EZK?

NO NEED TO SHOUT ! There could be two seperate issues. Get the car to start and run reliably first, then try the ST. The ST is going to be any use as a fault finding tool until at least the car will start and run half decently.
The Igntion protection relay is a clear cased relay on the same plate as the LH/EZK and is mounted above the EZK.

Yes, but as I assume the engine runs (sometimes) without a bad misfire that the problem is EZK data corruped to the ST2 rather than an RPM pulse problem.
Are you still having to jump the FPR to get the car to run ? Be very careful with the jumper link, if misplaced can blow up the LH FP driver stage :-(

So that was it and luckly I found one on ebay this week for $100. I will pull the computer back out this weekend to put the PEM in and finish fine tuning the beast.
