Default camshafts

anyone know of any gt camshafts for sale?

I have DrNicks reground gts shafts that work awesome for sc application but I am going the NA route now and need some cams that would work in a stroker.

Any help would be much appreciated?

Does anyone know if Mike Simard ever made any blanks availabel?

thanks for all your help

Hey Andy,

I am actually having new cams made (in process right now).

There is information on reutterwerk regarding this. But the price is $1600USD. That is new cams with much larger grinds ready to install. They is still some time before they will be ready to ship and I will be announcing a cut off date for getting in on them soon. There will also be a deposit required. After the cutoff is set the price will be going up to $2k per set.

For these cams we will be looking at a max lift of .460" lift and 233 duration @ .050" But I would not recommend anything that wild in a street car. We will also be doing one similar to the B1 grind which has proven to be good (same as Louie has in his beast).

If you are interested please pm me for my email address and then email me for the rest of the details.

- There are those Colt Cams that Collin is planning to produce.
- 928 MS sells Webcams at http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/camshafts.php
- Jim Morton can get you the Elgin cam profiles reground on your cores.
- GTS cores, when available, sell for $500 and S3 cores for $350

The situation has improved hugely in just a couple of years. It's the combination of better technology and worse economy, I bet.

Great info here. I was not aware of Colin's work there.

Good job

Nice round up Tuomo

The thing that you need to mention on that Sterling is the B1 grind on S4 cores will result in poor driveability due to the 106.5 LSA = too much overlap.

The only reason I was able to start to do these cams is because of the poor economy I am afraid. Most of the cam makers wanted 500+ cams to make the molds. And we need 4 seperate cams. Obviously this is not possible for us. I figured we could make 50 work. I have around 30 sets spoken for, and hope that the last 30 will be taken sooner rather than later too.
BTW these cams I am having made will work in the 85/86 heads as well. Just need to specify as to which head you will be using so I know as to what shoulder to put on them, and if you want the extension on the end of the cam cut off or not.

I do have several sets of gundrilled billet cams getting close to completion right now. Since everyone is now a cam maker too they are going to be surprisingly cheap. Andy, you would have priority if you want a set. I'm making finished cams for big engines that need good streetability but can ship a set of ready-for-grinding blanks now if desired.
