Actually does not look that bad at all. With that price it should sell very fast.

corners harder than your Z06? Do you have like the 60's version of the Z06? Cause thats one expensive car there!

I would think you should sell it quickly at that price. Like within 72 hours i would think, savage title and all.

PS: I like this version of the ad much better than the previous one that said "No pictures, its too cheap, I cant be bothered to take any pics."

Yeah, you know how selling on CL goes... Guys ask for 500 pictures, you spend 3 hours uploading, then you never hear back from them... All that for what? So they can offer you $1200?
I was in a better mood I guess...lol
Thanks Ryan!

No, I had an '01 and an '03.
This 928 just seems to want to be pushed harder in the corners than the vette's. Maybe it's the Koni's with matching race springs, I don't know but even with the smaller tires (sticky ones though) she holds a line like nothing else. So controllable in a slide, too. Can't believe this suspension was developed in the mid 70's!

From CL ad:
But, is mechanically sound and would easily drives cross country.
Does this mean it has the skins to do it?

skins?
I don't understand the term, you mean like "*****"?
I feel confident this car would make it to new york without any problems. It has never given me any issues since we replaced the CPS with a new one.

Oh, my second guess... Probably not cross-country. Maybe a few states over But I could get new rubber mounted cheap here, I have a friend who owns a tire shop.

If I had a buyer for my 84' I would be all over this. Anyone want to buy an 84' ? I'll bet your car sells by the end of the day.

I should buy this, just because of the price... but I already have one project car.

Here’s my take on the add. You are using words that scream “Abuse” and too many details on things that are not important for the add. Remember, all you want to do is get the buyers attention and you can fill them in on the little details (like the suspension or the idling problem) either on the phone or when they come to see the car. Please put at least one picture in the add.

Here’s how I would post this car:

1987 Porsche 928 S4

Red with black int., Auto, 123,000 miles, service records from the last 10 years. Ice cold A/C. Runs and drives excellent. Some new parts and needs a couple more to make it perfect. Paint faded but otherwise in good condition (no rust). Comes with an old salvage title. Only serious buyers please and I’m not interested in trades.

For further details, please call (619) 665-2129

OK Jim, I'll bite - tell me more. Pics would help too. Send me a pm so as not to hi-jak this thread.

Can someone copy the text from the ad here? I can't look at CL at work.

Thanks.
