Default AN-12 928 Oil Cooler & Block Adapter fittings

Hi All,

Walt in MA (WAGS928S) asked that I post this stuff here for anyone interested...

They are 2 each needed to replace your ld oil cooler line from block to cooler

AN -12 male to 26MM X 1.5 female

AN -12 male to 26MM X 1.5 male union.

I then connect the two ends with AN -12 female fitting kevlar hose to any length I need for the cooler location.

It was $ 109 including shipping for the 4 fittings from Bat Inc in FL.

Hope that helps out..

Cheers,

That is handy information. Does anyone happen to know if its the same fittings for the auto cooler? If not, anyone know what they are? May as well make a matching set while I am in there.

Thanks
Hans

Same oil cooler Hans.. Trans has different ones, and different lines.. That's easy to replace too, BAT has the parts.. The trans adapter fitting is an odd spec. I think it goes from 26.5MM X 1.5 to AN -4 or something....

Provided of course you switched out the radiator to one without a trans cooler in the end tank... You could just place the trans cooler in back like on the CLK63 AMG, and put a thermostat on it with a temp switch and a fan for city driving...

If you are going with a rear cooler for the automatic, you need 14 x 1.5 mm to -6 AN adapters for the case. (I recommend using steel adapters, the aluminum ones were too soft.) I am going to do this again to my current '86.5 eventually. It does make the 3 or 4 speed a bit more responsive.

I have a nice new aluminum radiator with a cooler in the end tank that I would like to continue using. It would be nice just to replace the lines with something a tad more flexy for easier service. I will try and give BAT a call and see if they know what the specs are.

Thanks
