Thanks for the input Paul

The first post stated the cam bolt was loose; would you conclude his caused the hub to crack or vice versa.

Given that many of us now play with cam timing and are re-torquing the cam bolt perhaps we've avoided the issue...............I hope.

I want to re-set my cam timing so shall inspect the hubs and report.

The cam bolt was loose. When the cam bolt is torqued(47ftlbs) the large nut clamps the gear to the hub. The hub is tightened on cam snout. When hub breaks, all is loose.
