Delrin bushes - fitting concern

Nope. It's Delrin. Of course things could be different but I have several paintball guns with Delrin bolts. If any oil gets on the delrin bolt it swells and won't move through the breech. Very tight tolerances and even a tiny bit of swelling can jam things up. That slight swelling may have no affect at all on a larger open bushing.
Not saying anything is wrong with Delrin bushings, I was just curious.

Taking your experiance as valid a small amount of swelling would be good as it would tighten the feel even more.
So far on all the cars fitted with the Delrin no problems - so far so good.
Are we talking about total immersion in oil or just contact with?

I shimmed the rack with large washers cut to fit when I used the aluminum ones. I made sure the washers were just thick enough that the rack didn't brace against them, but cut the movement in the rack from 2mm to barely perceptable. I didn't want the washers to take all the load.
