Yikes there are a lot of little things going on here for LO mileage car,.
Interior colors look like Burgundy and white
The mileages dont match the condition.
Threads rotted on the steering wheel, cracks in the pod, Intake is bare, repainted calipers, bogus transfer coolant line from the water bridge, hot post cover missing, KnN filter, with a bare intake it will also usually indicate the knock sensors have crumbling connectors, temp 2 sensor boot is cracked indicating high mileage, cross brace bolts are the wrong ones ,alarm horn tacked onto the fan shroud, rear AC vents broken, aftermarket amp tacked onto rear storage area be careful about screws going through to the fuel tank and possible punctures to tank.
I would also absolutely check the flex plate before giving any cash, and inspect the frame for damage under the rear bumper cover and also inspect for collapsed bumper shocks

My guess as well. Looks good! Same sort of theme as what I will be doing with my car except the burgandy will be Turquoise Metallic.

I like where he states in the ad ....

"This sweet ride has 17 inch wheels wrapped around with almost brand new BF Goodrich G-Force tires. I've put a little over 1,000 miles on them. They have approximately 95% tread left. Cost me over 2,000 dollars."

Boxster wheels and tires over $2000 ???

Car has a salvage title as well.

Wow - those must have been some rough 37k miles! I have a hard time believing that's all the car was driven.

Obviously, the trunk was used, and something in there damaged the louvers of the rear AC. There is a really simple prevention for that - a rear AC trim piece that bridges the height of the bezel and the louvers such that luggage would no longer damage the louvers. I have it in my car - has worked great so far and cost less than a set of replacement louvers! It's available in lots of different colors and materials, not just wood.

Is that what Porsche calls it? I thought Linen is more of a off white? My car's interior is identical in terms of color but want to replace a few pieces.

No doubt that car has suffered a hard life. My car with 100k on it is in better shape than that one!

The seats definitely look like they're linen. Linen can change from a grey hue to a beige hue depending on the lighting.

My guess is that the digi display has been replaced - just a guess though. Front end appears like it has had a respray (beading looks painted). Interior looks quite rough. Stiching on steering wheel looks more like it has 137k miles. I would also guess that the car was rear ended at one point in its life. The rear bumperettes are hanging low which is a clear sign of bent bumper shocks.

Caveat emptor.

(Duh! Just read where he says it was in an accident...)

No way does that car have only 37K. Several discrepancies. No Reserve? Although he has 100% feedback, I see trouble ahead.

I ran an autocheck on it...the mileage matches up...28,743 in 2002 (Florida then transfered to Ohio in the same month), 30,900 in 2004 (Pennsylvania), 37,219 in 2004 with a complete loss salvage title (Ohio).

Uh, I had not noticed the panel gap between door and right rear quarter last time 3rd picture). And that the side moldings don't line up on the drivers side. And the painted beadings and door locks. I'm worried that all this was done without the car properly disassembled, which could mean future peeling/cracking around rubber seals.

If he can sell this car locally for $13k, he should. Given the body and title issues, as well as the damage in the interior/trunk area, I think it's worth half at best.

Sadly.

This car looks beat up. Something A Salvaged title is a salvaged title. Once it has been issued one it will never go away....

Does the report any readings between 89 and 2002? Its a big gap and a great deal can happen in that time period.
