Its almost done. I drove the car home on Sunday and it ran pretty well after sitting for 6+ months. I still have to finish putting it back together but it shouldn't take to long. I have a few parts still on there way. I should have it all together this weekend to be ready for SITM the following weekend.

Very nice...what prep did you use to paint the bumpers? I'm still trying to get an answer I can understand.

VERY NICE COLOR! Is that Meteor Metallic or Basalt Black metallic??? Looks deep enough to dive in to!

Thanks guys, it has been a lot of work but it’s worth it. The color is the original metallic black and it’s really grown on me.
Dean, we really didn't do a special prep work to the bumper covers. We sanded them down, then primered, sanded, primered, sanded and painted. I'm not a paint expert at all and could be wrong but I think most all paints and primers that you get these days can be used on the bumpers as is. I think it was before the plastic bumpers were common that you had problems. Most cars of the last 20 years or so have similar plastic bumpers. Once again that’s based on my limited knowledge of automotive paints.

your car looks great.
try to keep it out of the sun and it will last a long time. FWIW the PU covers should have had a flex agent mixed into the paint so the paint will give instead of crack if the surface gets pushed
