Default Need Metric Bolt can you help?

I need a tow hook bolt for my 83, this is a 12M 1.50 fine x 100mm. This is 1 of 4 bolts, during recent work the bolt just vanished. I have looked all over the internet including the big 3 and can't find one any where.

Thanks

Wow, that sounds nuts, are you sure its for a bolt?

Unfortunately I've found that many places aren't set up to ship small amounts.

OTOH you may have an industrial hardware store local to you that might stock even this weird size.

No that can't be right. Give us a call and we can order it for you and make sure the shipping is right. Even if you order online Jeannie is good about catching out of line shipping quotes and fixes it before charging the card.

Ace hardware will also have the correct nut and bolt look in their metric section about 2.50

The trick with this bolt is the fine pitch part. No SoCal HD's or Lowe's carry this bolt, and the local Ace's only carry M12 x 1.5 up to about 70 mm or so. Fortunately there's McFadden-Dale, the Mac daddy of hardware stores that has them up to 120 mm.

It's good to support the sponsors of Rennlist. Is this not what most say on so many threads?

Its what they say alright.

But every car person should walk down the two aisles of nuts and bolts in Mcfadden Dale some time.

I tried Ace, HD, Lowes, AutoZone, Advanced ect. I was able to find 1 here in Nashville, $5 no shipping no tax, cash....I really do try and support the sponsors and have on many occasions but after finding it locally I had to jump on it, it is already installed and now ready for the alignment getting ready for the KY party....

Glad you found it! My post was not meant as pressure or "support the vendor" stuff, just trying to help you get what you needed. As long as you were able to get the bolt quickly and can continue on with your project I am happy!

dangelerb..Not pressureing anyone either. Just some go out of their way to point it out, just as in when someone point out something for sale without a price. then they jump in and say post price.

Figured I would help out as they do. thats all.

Myself I don't always buy from the sponsors but due when I can. I do buy foam from a/c distro houses for my hood liner which works perfect and costs way less. Go figure.

While we're looking for hard to find fasteners. Can anyone supply me with 12mm 1.5 x 80mm SHCS ? I need these but haven't found them anywhere online. I'm ready to redesign around a different thread pitch if I don't find it soon. I can find them in 1.75 thread pitch and I think I found them in 1.25 but I really can't remember. 1.5 seems like an odd bird for some reason.

Thanks
