I have a 90s4 and it did the same thing one time and went away. I think my battery may have been drained at the time.

The lines come on mine when the battery is newly connected. Then eventually change to read out within a second or so. So its something in the boot up.

Try raising and lowering the pod while the car is running. My LED was flashing solid until I did this, then "voila!", it came right back on.

This is after I had:
  • checked the hot post
  • cleaned the grounds, including the pod grounds
  • replaced all fuses
  • sprayed contact cleaner on the central panel while fuses were out
  • removed the instrument panel and cleaned the four connectors and the panel contacts

All this was performed with the battery disconnected, BTW. I have a recent thread on this, including loss of fuel, speedo, and tach at: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...or-latest.html
