Someone please tell me...what keeps the S4 from going airborne at that speed? The spoiler is relatively small and the downforce needed to stay on the ground at 209mph has to be tremendous. Has anyone used a pitot gizmo or something to measure this under the car?
Amazing speed you two achieved....and really amazing skill at missing the perfect score by so little.

Tim and Cheryl,
I was just reliving your Silver State Classic experience by re-reading it. My friends can't believe that a 1988 928 can go that fast (and handle so well at those speeds). If more people actually knew what these cars are capable of (with tweeking), I think the demand might outstrip the demand. I'm certainly hanging on to mine.

Tim,
This race is on my bucket list. I intend to plan a trip from NC to Nevada one of these years soon and run this race. Be it in a much slower pace than you guys. I need to get the 88 sorted out first. If I die before getting this experience in, I am going to be pi&%ed.
Good luck, I look forward to running it vicariously through you guys,
