**BIG ADVICE**

Whatever company you finally get to transport the car......DON"T SIGN A DAMN THING UNTIL YOU HAVE FULLY INSPECTED THE CAR FOR DAMAGE.

If you find any damage at all, indicate it on the form they *should* have that has a basic drawing of a car from several angles. Also write it on the form and show the driver.

The driver will almost certainly try to rush you into signing for the car. Once you sign for it they cut all ties to it, regardless of any damage you show the driver (even before signing for it). I have been there and done that.

Remember, suppress your excitement and inspect that car for any damage.

The shipping company I used to haul my GTS dropped a chain on the roof which dented and scratched it. I saw the damage and showed the driver, then signed the form he pushed into my hands. Then the company said "go get ****ed" when I called them to get the damage repaired. They said I signed for the car without indicating damage on that form and that freed them regardless of what I told and showed the driver. **** poor way of running a business.

My mistake: I was excited about the car being delivered, it was 3 weeks late.

I shipped from a dealer in Rockford IL to Northern VA in 2007 with InterCity for about $900 and the car came right to the house...had it's own car cover for the whole trip and was riding along with several much more expensive vehicles...the driver insisted I look at the whole car before I even saw a signoff form and several messages were sent to ensure I was satisfied....and they sent a toy model InterCity semi truck and trailer .....cool....Deal with the Best and don't mess with the rest... Nice find..as soon as you get time , a thorough examination of all of the under car issues should be done...boots, drive axles and steering.....fuel lines ...oil pan gasket...motor mounts.. are all 20 years old and will need to be addressed.. Good Luck !!!......
