Default Free Soda Blasting Service

Well, now that the shell is out of the garage, I have plenty of room to do I what I enjoy the most. Helping out others!
I have a small soda blaster that does wonders on parts like the fuel sending unit , cadmium plated parts that have oxidized, oxidized electrical connectors, etc...

If anyone here has any small parts they need some surface contamination removed from, please, send it to me! You will be surprised at what it will come back looking like!

I blasted my fuel sending unit and it removed all the surface contamination and rust from the most delicate areas very gently, and left the cadmium plating intact! Once I dig it up, I will post a picture of what it looks like now.

If you have a part you want restored, send it my way and I will do it for free, just cover shipping.

Where I work the head fleet mechanic heard about soda blasting and decided to run baking soda through two of the cars in the fleet to clean up the cylinders and rings. The cars are still NOT running, but surprisingly the guy still has a job.

heinrich, those cam covers are better of media blasted. The paint on those is very very thick. I even tried sand blasting Sean's cover and it took forever to get just a little done with a very abrasive grit. The sodium bicarbonate works as it explodes at the very tip of the contact surface.
Mine is also a smaller less powerful unit.
Send me something like a wiring harness and I can bring all the connectors back to new[ish]

Blythe,

Can you post info/links about the soda blaster you bought? I've seen the one's Eastwood sells and have also seen them at Tractor Supply, but since you have one you're happy with, I might as well consider that one.

Thanks,
Jim
