Come hang out with us. We like all Porsches too, and we won't tell the other 911 guys of your whereabouts!

I already checked in thru the Suncoast web site... I'll be there Saturday morning, driving over from Tampa and have to get back that night. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Hi Everyone,

Here are some fun avatars for folks who are going to Sharks at Daytona. I sent each of you an email to get your avatar JPG.

If you are attending, email me your avatar.

It's fun way to promote the event. The more the merrier!

VTY,
Joe Taylor

(I like George's avatar the best.. I want to take his driving lessons!)

I also plan on driving over for the day on Saturday. There is at least one more Tampa area 928'er whi will come along as well. I'll try to drum up as much interest as possible. A caravan would be fun and I'm sure we could make it there in record time. I'm a very "efficient" driver.

Hi Joe. I like your enthusiasm for the event. I didn't recieve your email but I may have my rennlist account linked to an email I don't check regularly. I'll send you the .jpg in a moment.

BTW, Georges avatar is funny. It would be even more funny if you knew the back story.

Here's his last one.

Can we start a list who can do a caravan, I am thinking I-4 around Lakeland as a meeting spot. I would want to leave early due to not spending the night.

Early morning works for me, just tell me where and when. Hey, a pack of German War machines blasting across Florida in the early morning hours... how good can it get?

Hi Everyone,

Here is a email I got from Mel about the Autocross event at Daytona,

++++++++++++++++
Hello Sharkers!

Here’s a forward to me of the auto-x info at Daytona on 10/10 during the OktoberFast PCA races & our Sharks at Daytona gathering. I highlighted one sentence to note if you are a PCA member to save you $5 when you enter the infield of the track.

Autocross at Daytona

Florida Citrus and Florida Crown Regions of PCA will host an autocross on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Daytona International Speedway, during the PCA Club Race. The event is sponsored by Porsche of Melbourne. The autocross will be run on the Daytona Go Kart Track, a fun and challenging course.

Registration is $30 payable on site. You can pre-register at www.clubregistration.net and access Florida Citrus dropdown. Preregistration closes at 12:01 on Wed. Oct. 7, so preregister by Oct. 6. Please remember to bring your PCA membership card to enter the Speedway grounds. Non-members must pay a $5 temporary membership fee at the gate.

Gates open at 7:00. Come early, help set up, and do a good course walk. Drivers will be assigned to morning or afternoon run groups based on car class so that they can watch the Club Race, and/or volunteer to help during the races.

If you are an experienced autocrosser, you know the FLC series offers friendly competition and great camaraderie. If you have not done an autocross, please join us. We provide a fun, safe environment in which you can drive your Porsche the way the engineers designed it. We welcome novices, women, and young drivers (over 16 with a valid license). Instructors and loaner helmets are available.

Bert Del Villano FLC Autocross Chair 407-909-0636 970-406-1703 cell bertdelvillano@aol.com
We're getting a good response so far of 928ers planning on attending this year, including some who have not previously been to one of our Fla Shark gatherings before.

Hope to See Ya at Daytona!

Mel

Joe Taylor

Hey, I know that place, but not cause I've actually ever been inside. Not that it doesn't look interesting. They are located at the corner of International Speedway Blvd(92) & SRA1A. So you drive past it anytime you are at Daytona Beach.

I used that same shark logo when we had an advanced soccer club named the Jacksonville Sharks back when our son was younger. That shark logo was originally used by a pro football team by the same name that existed for one year(1974). We had the name incorporated not for profit for the few years our soccer club existed. I've considered using the logo again to have a banner made for our Fla. shark events, but just haven't yet. When we had the soccer club, more than once someone would comment on the cool looking shark on our club banner.

I am in Winter Haven and looking to go in my Cayenne along with another 928/Cayenne owner. What time is the caravan going to go by US27? Cayenne's welcome?

Brian,

are you doing the autocross? I could probably get talked into it, but don't have a helmet. I'm still waiting to get my car back from Vortex. They missed last Friday's schedule and hoping no issues with having her for this week-end. You coming up I-75? I'm open for any meeting time... 0730 hrs at 1st exit East of I-4 / I-75 junction? Later if you want, my day is open, just looking forward to driving my car and talking Porsches

Jere,

Autocross is a good possibility, and yes I am coming up I-75. I-4 (Exit 10) Mango Rd sounds good to me, the earlier the better for me.

Firemed says he isn't coming. Tampa 928s is coming and I'm still trying to get a committment from Tarek. I think he will probably go. I'm coming as well. It

That must be Mike G. Cool! Is he bringing the 928 or the Cayenne?
