Default Engine ID stamping help

Just curious here. Can anyone help me deciper these codes? Car is an early flipwing 87, but the block is not stamped. Pictures were taken after removal of the flywheel. I thought the car was supposed to have a squirter block. I see an 86 stamp date as well as an S3? (upper right corner pic 2) Had me wondering.
Thanks for any help.

Ben

Have you carefully cleaned the top front of the block and made certain that there are no markings? That would be most unusual...

The 25-86 is probably the casting date, which is correct for an early '87 engine.

Thanks Wally. Yes, I have cleaned and examined the top of the block. It is clean and smooth. No file marks as if it were intentionally removed. Just blank. Sorry I don't have that picture.

should be 25th week of '86 for the engine casting
if the serial# spot is blank it's a factory replacement engine, these were not assigned a serial# IIRC
