Default First post and pictures of my car

I have been a user/lurker since early '05 when I discovered the website. I acquired the car sometime in '04, when it stumbled upon my lap. Seeing as it was too great of a good of a deal to pass up, and I have always had an affinity for them, I bought it right there on the spot. Fast forward almost six years later and I have in my possession a "rescued" (I say rescued because the care that the previous owner gave the car was a bit lacking) 86.5 928 Canadian Model. The car is equipped with a manual transmission matched by a LSD in the rear. Originally, the car was Meteor Metallic, but the previous owner decided to repaint it black. The paint job is not the best, yet not the worst. There is some orange peel, and a little bit of crazing on the rear hatch. Personally, I would have loved the car in the original paint, but over time, I have grown quite fond of the black. The leather interior is in good to very good condition. The wheels came with the car, and I am not a fan. Too much chrome for me! I can go on and on about the little imperfections on the car, but here are some pics!

The current modification list is:
x-pipe
PorKen EZF'r chip
one coil cut off front springs
GTS wing
H4 euro headlights

Maintenance:
Way too much to list... I have probably spent twice as much on restoring the car than I actually did on the car itself!

I'm normally not a fan of the chrome wheels on 928's, but those look pretty sharp on your car.

Thanks for the kind words. I really do enjoy the car,not driving it at the moment, running very rich. Think it's the maf sensor.

Black wheels on a black car can look really hot...

Can't say I am a big fan of cutting coils.

Default Love the Chrome 18's on a black car!

I have the same wheels 225/40/18 front 275/35/18 rear, it tracks like it's on a rail.

Nice looking Car ! I didn't think I was a fan of chrome wheels but I think they really look good on that black car. Maybe it's the contrast or because the car has no other chrome...keeps it from looking blingy . Very sharp

& welcome aboard !

Wow. Black 86.5 5 speed, LSD with x-pipe and Porken chip. I'm not normally a huge fan of the S4 (GTS) wing on the OBs, but I'm in lurv!

Nice!!

Very tasteful mods on the car. I'm a fan of black cars, by the way. Rear wing looks right at home with the S lip spoiler deleted. The chrome twists look like they belonged there from the beginniing.

Does the rest of the car (interior, engine bay) look as good as the exterior?

Very nice car!

During the winter, if the lake freezes over, you should drive it over to Green Bay. Those guys up there (Hacker, Tim Murphy, etc.) know how to have a fun with 928s.
