I bought a set of aero mirrors that came from a 993 and I must change the mirror base to the 928 one but how do I remove the base from the mirror??

It is the procedure on how to install the aero mirrors. It should be in there.

take a 3/8 drive extension and put it in a vise, place the mirror base on the tip of the extension and press down ( this will push the hex looking part into its spring) then twist the base of the mirror a bit you should see the hex part unscrew into its release slots

 

It's a bitch putting them together, I've done 3...I can't imagine taking them apart. Good luck.
