Ditto. These 928's will make ya crazy. This site is my only entertainment. Don't even have a TV anymore. Let 'em rip.

I enjoy that one, as well.

Ed, you need to invent something new.

I just burnt my fingers 5 minutes ago soldering a new end on a timing belt light wire and don't need any more lessons in morality tonight.

Well, Ed is right in a lot of ways, my fingers just hurt.

I've got an iron, a butane gun, an electric gun and I choose to use the propane torch.

Fresh flesh delete.

Where did you find a new end? I've heard the same connector is used on a 944 windshield antenna connection, but haven't had one in my hand to compare yet.

I reused the existing one. Took a razor blade and shaved the part holding the wire til the remaining 1/2 inch of wire was free. Stripped it. Applied a metal crimp butt connector fitting. Added another 6 inches of wire. Soldered it. Double shrinkwrapped it so the shrink wrap went over the remaining protrusion of the connector itself that held the wire. Then did the same butt connector thing to the engine harness wire. Got toasted in the process.

The end is also identical to the connector on the 85 windshield-to-antenna amp box on the 928, I know this as fact.
