Default Key will not go into door lock 928 S4

Hello out there, my driver's side door lock has been giving me trouble for a week, was difficult to get the key into the lock, lots of wiggling, now it does not go in all the way even wiggling it, I can thankfully use the Passenger door to lock and open both doors. Is it the lock cylinder? where do I get a replacement? can the replacement be used with my key? and how difficult is this process?
Thank you

I had a problem like this, sent the lock cylinder and a key to 928 Specialists ... they got it working beautifully for something like $45 ...

I would start with spray of some kind of penetrating cleaner, wd40 might work, but leaves a LOT of residue that attracts dirt. Maybe some contact cleaner, whatever be careful of the paint. Right after the last blast of cleaner I would blow out the remains with careful use of compressed air.

Last a graphite based lock lubricant.

R&R of the lock cylinder and rekeying a new one won't be cheap.

As mentioned, I would use WD-40 or something similar (graphite/LPS) and spray it onto the actual key (both sides) and attempt to insert and remove a few times. If successful that turn lock to open and close lock a few times. After wipe off any residue on the key w/cloth. I have had luck with this.....

Also try a light file on the key to clean off any rough edges. It might help.
