Default 8.5" ET59 Front - 245/35 18 or 255/35 18?

I've gotten some new wheels and I'm debating which sized tire to put on the front. As it sayes in the title, it's a 18" x 8.5" wide with an ET59. I'm running a 295/30 on the rear. Any thoughts between the 245/35 18 or 255/35 18 for the fronts? I'm a little concerned the 255 might stick out too much. Any handling issues going wider?

New wheels? Man, I thought the ones you had were some of the best looking at OCIC! Please tell me you're not changing them.

Anyway, to answer your question, I would go with the 245's. I think 255 would be better suited to a 9 inch rim, as well as sticking out too much at an already less than perfect ET59.

Oh, and if you consider less understeer a handling issue, then yes, you'll have a handling issue.

Jarrod, thanks for the compliment, especially from a concours winner. I'll try them to make sure I'm not making a mistake but I'd like to have a wider front than 225. I've already been through 6 sets of wheels so I have a bit of a local reputation to uphold.
