Please help me get rid of my 928

I remember this when it happend and I know it was a scary situation for you. I'm truly glad you made it out alright. I would want it gone if I went through what you did also. There is no reason for people sending you negative PM's.
That being said how quick do you want it gone. If you want it gone by this weekend throw out the rock bottom price. You being nearly in Mexico, it's gonna take someone driving down to pick it up. Further away the buyer is, the cheaper the buyer wants it. It will run me at least $600 just in gas to pick it up for example.

motor comes out up top.
remove the hood (or peel it off) undo the bottom motor mount boltings and such and cut all the wires and hoses around the motor and pull it out through the top. then you need to take the top accessories and such off to see if anything about the motor is still good.
Tranny is in the rear and should be self explanitory.
You really need to pull everything off thats usable and sell it and trash the rest. You are in Texas with like a billion other members, maybe buy pizza and beer and have some handy 928 guys come over and help. Pulling a motor with care takes days/hours, pulling one to salvage takes only a few hours

I just went through a car fire and it is not fun https://rennlist.com/forums/off-topi...rispy-car.html. Glad you are okay.
Like people are saying above, some beers, some friends and a sawzall will make light work of that motor pull.

+4 have a take it apart party. The intake may be messed up, but I doubt the head or block, too much thermal mass filled with coolant etc. Heck of a job to clean stuff up, but leave that to whoever buys the part.

you may be suprised. IMHO, have a perfectly good motor in there as far as Im concerened. If anyone is interested in a spare motor, i think it would be suitable. Just depends on the hassle factor getting it out...shipping etc etc. Sometimes its more trouble than its worth.
BTDT with a motor just like it...although it was out of the car already. I have it all torn apart, sitting in the attic with low compression pistons machined from the stock ones ready to rebuild some day. crank..cams...valve covers...intake..MAF..fastenters...VALVES!! cam gears!! all still good! All disassembled and ready to put together...once i figure out how!

You may need someone with a similar year car to come over and test your electronics or sell them for shipping to a reputable member here for an agreed price, if they work they pay you if not they toss em.
Patients will get you a good final round of good company and fun time learning to wrench, making haste will get you $200 and disappointment
