Default CO Springs GT for $13k

http://cosprings.craigslist.org/ctd/1295788467.html

I called the guy, he didn't seem too happy to have it on the lot, but seems to check out as a 1990 GT with 63k miles.
too far for me to look at but I thought maybe someone in the area looking for a 928 might be interested.

I'm in the area if someone wants a closer look. I know the lot and they are not known for the best cars.

Sounds like the car Ryan was buying a few months ago, just with a new price double what the old one was. Looking in from the outside it was a done deal, waiting on shipping details, then nothing happened.

I was interested in buying this car last year when it was $6K, it was not running and stuck in gear and the dealer REFUSED to have anyone even mechanically touch it \ check it out let alone a PPI. It was $6K firm too and too much of a gamble for me. I kept thinking worse case, skipped timing belt, damaged valves.

I went back last week with my best friend and low and behold new price is $13K!! The dealer was much more friendly this time around and threw me the key with no hesitation. The car started easily, sounds great and goes into every gear perfectly. Electrically everything works on the car, so maybe it was something simple causing the car not to start and go into gear initially.

Car needs cosmetics over $3K range to make it perfect (tires, paint on the front bumper, damage door, wheels have very bad rash and the leather is very neglected plus I think the dash is cracked).

Maybe a good buy for $10K if they will go that low.

Beyond a normal PPI with something this hinky I would want all the ID numbers checked on engine and transmission, plus make sure the heads aren't from Australia.

I had THOUGHT i had a deal with this hombre.

He had given me crap for MONTHS that there was some issues with the title, that it was in dispute somehow and i told him to get it resolved and let me know. I used to call every week. Then i found this thread and this ******* even quoted me on the phone just now $13,900 NOT the $12,900 its listed for in the ad.

To be honest, i figured it was just some stupid simple problem to fix. The interior did look tatty, its a weird color too if you ask me. The exterior had a big dent in the door, the front bumper was chipped to hell and there was a wheel or two with cracks in it. and on..... and on...... and on......

I think it was easily worth the money asked for it at $6000, but now its more than doubled and apparently runs good although there is no mention of the fixes to the cosmetic issues and if they were tended to, i can assure you it was in a quick and dirty fashion and not done correctly.

I was almost interested in making an offer of less than $10,000 but i dont even wanna bother with these people anymore.

Im in that mood again where i want nothing to do with 928's. That should pass, or i will end up in something else, who knows, but this car did need some work on the cosmetics, both in the interior and exterior and who knows what kinda shape the mechanicals are in.

buyer beware
