Philesk,

Since your 82 US is Ljet rather than CIS the problem may be different. Have you checked the tension on the drive belt for your viscous fan? If loose, it could cause underhood temps to rise.

Mine has only one pump, but is wired for two. My understanding is that the number of pumps installed was based on the geographic region the car was intended to initially be sold in.

Living in DC for a year now, with a record breaking summer of heat. Insulating the lines has apparently had a great effect. I haven't had another problem.

Belt tension is good.
