Default Adding front spoiler ducts

Is it possible to add the front spoiler ducts from an '80+ onto a '79? I see from pictures the ducts have two? mounting tabs.
Do the later front bumper covers have attachment points for these tabs, or are they attached to something else?
I really like the duct version over the "ductless" cover, but don't want to mickey mouse an install. Hopefully, I won't need to buy an entire front cover?

you can do it but your going to have to cut the front PU and replace the internal lower fender mounts from the straight to the boxed versions then you will need the hardware and the ducts and the grills for the PU,
IMHO a lot of work
If you can get your hands on an S front cover then that will make things easier

Thanks Merlin! What are these lower fender mounts your referring to? The ones that are bolted to the side of the inner chassis? got a picture or reference I could see? I have my front end taken apart now, so chances are I have seen it, but don't know which part you are talking about. I don't want to refinish that part if I'm not going to use it

So, there are no special mounts on an S spoiler that the non s wouldn't have right? I don't mind making any precision cuts in the cover, that's not a prob.

Does someone have a link to a pic from the PET showing both?

It's a 5 minute job to cut the reliefs and slip the duct entrance onto a non S bumper. Make sure to not cut too much off...trace the duct entrance and remove the material- subtracting a margin to allow the duct to slip over the bumper cover...

No reason to buy another cover...if you can cut 2mm thick plastic with some precision.
