It kinda looks similar to that orange Chevy hybrid (raised hood, flared fenders, GTS quarters) although incomplete. The wing looks like an amateur-ish copy of the AIR 'S5' wing.
I'd hazard a guess it was someone's 'dream racer'... or is that 'dream ricer'. No offense RicerSchnittzle

OK I confess I moved some boxes , dog crates , misc in MY garage and found this ! My Son in law's 1980 racer project which since they moved to Texas and I lost the shop space I had been renting has been "forgotten" in my garage for YEARS ! The hood is a carbon fiber stock hood but with 4 inches added to it with the rear raised. The fiberglass AIR fenders sit out two inches. The AIR front bumper is 4 inches wider. The rear GTS 1/4 s are glass and have been pushed out wider. Has a full cage. Complete S-4 brakes front suspension. The rear spoiler was for a 90s Mustang but raised a few inches (He wanted a big wing 
) The engine as DR pointed out is a stock 1980, at one time Supercharger Andy was going to help with a little boost.

Just PLEASE don't paint it BROWN :-)

But but all the cool guys in the POC have to have big wing things they just have too....Remember my son in law has a TR and a Miami vice "Daytona" .....he needs the wing ! Raising the hood moving out the fenders was so the same $50 each 18x10 rims would fit on all 4 corners plus take some of the wind off the windshield .
