Different tire rotation question
Hello, I would like to exchange my front left tire with my front right tire because there is a scratch on my left rim. I always walk by my car from the left in my garden so if the scratch is on the right I won't see it anymore The tires can be turned both ways, there is no directional profile, but they do have some visual tear on the outside. They weren't properly aligned for some time. Any idea if exchanging them could be harmful for driving? Should I realign the wheels perhaps?

Agree w/Jim they should be fine, but I would check w/the manufacture to be sure/safe as some tires should not be exchanged from side to side, only front to rear, had to do with the cords(?) or something.

That was often mentioned when radial tires were new technology long long ago.....if it were true today the liability disclaimer would probably be two inches tall and in neon orange on the sidewalls ! The Kuhmo DOT race tires which get beat up more than ANY street tire it is OK to flip flop run forward backward.

Excellent. Thanks a lot for the replies. I wasn't sure as I could only find information on rotating from front to back, which makes sense when you are fighting wear and tear. But no scratched rim info So thanks a lot for the quick answer! Gonna flip them today.
