I agree with your sentiments. I can not close this thread, only delete till the morning anyway. Folks seem agreived about deleted threads so it gets the night to stew.

My shark has not been rousted from its winter sluber yet... Neither has my C4.

I have been out and about on my bike and put a few country miles on my 74 TR6.

It has been a slow year for my cars. Bizarre conflicting economic times.....I spose.

You have inspired me to awaken my shark...maybe tomorrow.

Well, let me say this about that. While I agree that this forum should focus on technical discussion, in most cases I believe in a lot of leeway here. This sub-forum is almost as important for it's social aspect as it is for the tech part. I know I enjoy yanking peoples chain a bit in a non-technical way, but the general focus of the sub-forum should be technical.

Gretch does seem to be hanging a bit lower than normal for him, but eh - it's the nature of the job. I never had a problem with RV except when he made me the thread killer. Let's hope I can work my magic on this thread.

Drove up to Lime Rock.
Saw cars go vrrrrooooom vrooom vroooom.
No Corvettes at the race. But the Panoz did a wicked V8 blat blat blat blat.
And everytime the Porch racecars shifted, it would go POP!
Drove back to NYC. 2 hours 'ish each way.
Didn't tick off any ossifers.

Did have a black SUV get all indignant about me getting back around him sitting in the left lane so he got real close to me. Of course this was right before some very nice sweeping S curves on the highway approach to NYC. I accelerated through the turn. (remember, 928's can do dat). He didn't slow down and stuck with me for about 1/4 of the turn. SUV started to lean and the yaw real bad.
Like sailboat without centerboard. And of course he fell way back. Was watching the rearview to see if he'd turn turtle. Never seen an SUV roll over. But I've heard they do.

Now has anyone seen the 1/2" of tread that's missing from my front outer tread blocks.


And I figured out my new sig at Lime Rock. "Need Camber"
I hear it's safe to run up to 1/2 deg (neg to cant top of tire in) and not destroy the front inner treads.
