Default Best engine rings, bearings

Hello,

I just joined the group. I have a 79 928 in pieces ready to be rebuilt. I need to buy some new rings, rod and main bearings, but want to make sure I buy good ones. Should we go with the OEM parts, or is there a good German aftermarket you would recommend? Money is of course an issue. Then again I don't want to put inferior parts in, especially rings and bearings.

Also, had block and pistons mic'd and they are fine. I understand that honing the block is not done. Thanks in advance!

Do yourself a LARGE favor and find a 4.7L engine to rering and bearing.

The 4.5L rings are VERY expensive compared to the 4.7L and you get that extra little power.
