yup, noise suppressor, filter, choke. Used to filter noise from ignition when tuning AM stations.

Really?! Then where is the door chime relay?

Unless I'm reading my electric charts wrong, it looks like those two Red w/Black wires are for the the seat belt contacts....

Ok Now I'm really confused!

Not sure about MY 79' but on MY 85' the door chime relay is located under the radio/center console. Part no. 928.618.102.02 The relay is black, has a schematic on the side, the prongs are numbered along W/ a external speaker on the back.
Mine was giving me some strange electrical gremlins, tach would swing over to 7000 rpm while engine was operating as normal. Operating window switches would cause the tach. to also do the same.
I removed the relay and this stopped. Replaced W/ the same relay and problems continued. Have now removed the relay and car runs fine.

Mako, after looking more carefully at MY, 79 has a seatbelt relay in the central panel but no seatbelt/door chime relay until MY '80. One less $160 relay to buy!!

Mystery solved...

Brad
At $160.00 that is why I have kept mine out and just say "ding, ding, ding" out loud when I open the door.
