Welcome, Kevintari!

I was a former vette guy, my 928 handles better. Not really a fair comparison, tho:

I own a 986...I'm just a guest of B87's here in the 928 section, and a recent convert.

[Offtopic] Ok, reality check- I was just the caretaker of the '62 (belonged to the wife's boss) but it more or less lived at our house for 3 years and I got to finish the restoration. Hence my obsession with cleaning stuff. And I didn't buy the HRE's along with the GTS (but am having non-buyer's remorse about that.....)

The '62 was a numbers matching real-deal 340 horse solid lifter car with a 4.11 posi. Certainly slower than my GT but 55 mph felt like 90. Maybe 'cause of the play in the steering box.....My posts about it are all over the NCRS website, though the buggers made it a pay-to-play site.... [/Offtopic]

EDIT: Where are you in SoCal? I'm putting my avatar back into my GT on 7/19 or so, you should stop by. My neighbors LOVE Porsches.

Welcome, seems like SoCal is getting a pretty active place for 928 owners.

Do you have a 928 yet, if not what flavor are you looking for?

Welcome to Rennlist.

986? Isn't that a Boxter? So what is your impression of the boxter after having the power of a 'vette ? Do you plan to mod the boxter? Theres a couple of really cool widebody kits out there for the boxter that make me drool. One of those along with a little boost would really make a kick @$$ car IMHO.

This picture really makes me miss SoCal.

I have this itch to get back.

Kevintari welcome to Rennlist and good luck with your new acquisition.
