Thanks to all who look and answer. I have a 1981 with a M28 engine. There are no timing marks at all on the cams or the top of the cover towers. How do I set the timing on this car? There are little diamond shaped casting marks on one of the spokes of the cam gears. Do these line uo with something? There are no paint marks anywhere, or score marks on the metal part of the cam tower that the covers bolt against. I am also asuming that the right front piston is number one too, right? Can someone help me get my engine timed? I would love to take her for a ride.

The timing marks are little notches in the back side of the cam gear, a little hard to see without leaning over and using a flashlight. They should line up with index points on the cam housing at #1TDC, which is set by looking at the harmonic damper (big thick disc behind the crank pulley) and rotating the engine clockwise to get the '0' mark lined up with the timing indicator, about 2 o'clock above the damper.
