SRP Pedals - Updated Product Options 928
Hello,

I get this question all the time, “How come, on the Grid sets, the gas pedal and footrest don’t have the Grid machining on it?” Ideally you want your foot to slide across the gas pedal smoothly while applying the throttle. This is the reason the factory gas pedal is smooth, hard plastic. And this is the reason we make our gas pedal smooth. With the gas pedal smooth we decided to make the footrest and gas pedal match as it just seemed to look better that way.
With all of that being said, I have updated the website to allow ordering the Grid pedals with the Grid machining on the gas and footrest. This adds a considerable amount of time to the machining process, but I have decided to offer it as a NO-CHARGE option (this may change in the future).

I have updated our Grid pedals with a trim ring around the edge of the pedals. This gives the pedals a more refined look. The pictures below should make it clear what this option looks like. This is a NO-CHARGE option.

Here are some pictures of a Rennlister's 996 pedals (shipping tomorrow
) with the Grid machining on all pedals, the trim ring, the double heel toe extension, and the flanged footrest - pretty much "the works".

Nice as they look all matching - I would not go with grid on the gas pedal.. the grid is extremly grippy - hard to imagine how grippy till you try it. I'm sure it will be very tough to slide over to the brake - you'd pretty much have to lift off.
Even rotating your foot is hard on the grid surface.
I do like the border trim on all the pedals and no reason not to have grid on the dead pedal. I wonder if a grid look without the same depth of profile (flatter/rounded tops?) would be posisble to match up looks yet not be quite so grippy...?

You've got a great idea about the less grippy texture on the gas while still matching the brake/clutch. I've been thinking about this for the last couple weeks and have an idea or two that I'm going to try. Hopefully I'll having something soon.

Here's a question. In New England, it snows during the winter and rains during the summer. I am wondering how does water flow off these pedals? I am serious, the ones with the trim ring might need drain holes here!

The smoother (less draggy) the accelerator pedal, the better I seem to like it.
Makes the throttle 'feel' lighter.
But that's just my opinion.
