The XPel doesn't look that thick. Didn't see how many mils on the product page.
The Stongard is some beefy thick flex film.
May need to custom cut and layer a few sheets of the thin stuff to equal the thickness of the Stongard.
I've layered 2 sheets of protective film for my Hellas and it didn't seem to affect optical quality much.
PS. Thick protection film like Stongard may or may not be the cause of premature fog lens cracking due to heat buildup. (controversial topic)
