OK so my GTS is a daily driver - I have put over 65K miles on it in the last 9 years of ownership...

It has never failed to get me home.. just once it limped home in 2nd gear - the rest of the time has been in usual (fast) style. It still make me smile twice every morning - once looking at it and the second time driving it... Its still that kind of car...

Driving over 1000 miles home from the Denver OCIC in 2006 in 13 hours was a comfortable & pleasant drive...

2-3 years ago someone asked me if this was the new Porsche Cayman model ....? (they didn't know it was designed in the mid '70's...).

Plenty of people still point and stare at it on a weekly basic

Thank God, I thought I was making a mistake to try and buy a 928.

Whew, what a relief.

The '84 Euro... almost 200K miles and still pulls strong to 150. 6 years of ownership and never left me stranded. Not the prettiest sHARk in the water, but I don't care. He's like that 'ole faithful dog you just gotta love.

Good idea Hacker.

174 K miles, runs & drives perfect. 12 years of ownership, and still look forward to driving it!

My 85 5 speed runs perfectly, and always has, for me and the previous owner of 18 years.

Great car. Strong like Bull.

My 84 5spd starts with just a touch of the key and gets me 35 miles to work and back every day, rain or shine. Thanks to some relays bestowed on it by Jadz928, the rear defroster is working great, too.
Delco alternator was a perfect upgrade.

Wife's 86 did 15000 miles this year as her daily driver, since its rescue last may. Solid, smooth.

The $1,000 "ghost" has been running perfect for going on 2 years @ 20,000 miles a year!
That's the kids car - I know better then tempting fate and saying how good mine run.

Once the maintenance is up to date, they run great and are dependable. Mine runs 100%, thanks to help from Dave C with the catch-up and preventative maintenance.
If the small stuff drives you nuts, the 928 will test your patience.

A 928 is good for you; it teaches you to be patient and not sweat the small stuff.

I drive my 84 on a regular basis, nasty weather excluded then the F150 servers my needs. I am still catching up on maintenance and plan to keep ahead of the curve from now on.

I have loved this car since buying last year to have another semi DD porsche after taking my 85 911 to a point of being too harsh for the street.

I just returned from a 1250 mile trip to and from Sharks in the Mountains, ran like a Toyota!! No fuss, no problems, just fill with gas and go. AC cold when needed, using fan 1 or 2 with times in the high
80's. What a great car to drive. Keep the maintenance up - that's all I've done.
Other times I've driven a newly purchased car home from their previous owners, without problems - one was 3700 miles, two others were 1000 to 1500 miles. Model years have ranged from '88 to '94.
Also received 4 compliments on the local streets/parking lots in the last 3 weeks. Not bad for "old cars".
