I need one, but I am not sure if I can fit in the car back from SITM. If anyone would help me install it there, I'd be all over one.

The chin plates may help but they don't solve the problem completely. I replaced my spoiler with a new one and installed Carl's plates at the same time. My spoiler is now ripped in two places, right at the chin plates. The chin plate will protect the center part of the spoiler for the most part but they cannot help you protect the sides. That being said, I don't see how the grill is going to help anything. YMMV

Hey guys:

Don't forget about the attachment hardware. If I recall correctly from when I did this about two years ago, there are about 50 individual parts that make up the faster set. It's not a good idea to try an source all that you need from the hardware store. Plus, my old spoiler was most likely removed by a curb, at speed, and some of the molded-into-the-spoiler studs pulled right through the body panels leaving nasty gashes in the al-u-minium. Quite a little mess.

If you don't have a lift expect to feel like you've done about 100,000 sit-ups when you are finally done.

We have always recommended getting the standard hardware (nut bolts washers) at a hardware store in stainless steel since the factory hardware rusts so darn easy, especially in that location. (see list below).

There are a couple of items that are Porsche only, they could be hand made but probably not worth your time.

Sleeved/Spacer Washers 928.502.255.00.GRV Retail $4.95 each (2 required)
Support Brackets 928.505.373.02 Retail $2.82 each (2 required)

Standard Hardware recommended in stainless steel

M6 x 25mm Bolt x 4
M6 x 20mm Bolt x 2
M6 Locking Nut x 6
M6 Washer x 6

M5 x 12 mm Screw x 3
M5 Locking nut x 6
M5 Washer x 9

Dave, you have those porsche parts there at the shop?
Thanks very much for the hardware tips. I think everyone appreciates when our suppliers helpus know when we can save a bit of scratch.

If it wasn't for working on the car I'd have to go to the gym more often
