Default Reconditioning the rubbers

I will be assembling my Euro soon and want to recondition the rubbers before they go in. The rear 1/4 windows and hatch are all good but could use a little cleaning and reconditioning. What type of product has anyone used to do this? Would a good soaking of silicon based re-conditioner work or other type products work better?

I would suggest that you get some simple green and a scrub brush and go to town once all the parts are clean you could use some silicone grease and smear it on the rubbers and let it sit in the sun to soak in.
I like the Dow Corning 111 non setting silicone sealant for this

I use Griots Vinyl and Rubber conditioner for all of the rubber trim in the car including window trim, bumpers, vinyl, engine bits etc.

I have had had excellent results over many decades using WD-40 and a cloth, a fine scotch brite pad or toothbrush (depending on application) on all the rubber seals and especially the sunrooof seals (toothbrush is best for this). Doing this will literaly melt away the outer oxidated layer, remove wax residue and make the rubber and even most of the plastic parts look like new again. Then wash off with soapy water and then use your favorite rubber conditoner etc. after that. May sound weird but try it and you will be amazed with the results.

I am trying to remove the left over adhesive from the rubber gaskets any magic to this? I did the Wd-40 and they cleaned up good and did soften the adhesive but there are still little pockets.

3M Adhesive Remover is great stuff, usually works well and doesn't really damage anything.
