Default recaro seat value

Does anyone know the value of these recaro orthopedic seats?
Very good leather. soft, supple. One bladder on the drivers seat does not work due to a broken plastic gear. Otherwise the seats are fully functioning.

Thanks.

With new ones going for several thousand a pair, I'd guess about half that if you can get all the parts functioning. http://autosport.localplacement.com/orthoped.htm

Those must have cost $4000/seat 20 years ago?

I've heard they were very expensive back in the day. These seats are in better condition than my (sold) 30k mile boxster.. I would never have guessed they were 20 yrs old aside from their boxy appearance.

i wold say at least $1500 to the right buyer if not more, quite a bit more.

Alpina used seats like these in their BMW's in the 80's and 90's. If you list them on ebay include that in your description. They are very cool seats

Thanks for the feedback folks. Not quite sure what to do with them right now. I'll post a link if I e-bay them or put them for sale. If anyone else has ideas on their worth please continue to post.

You want to sell them? I would keep them if they came with the car. They seem to hold up much better than the stock 928 seats.

Ben,

They are on the wrong sides... The controls should be inboard like on the Vector so you don't always hit them when you are getting in and out...

Ben,

Here is a 928 I would LOVE to have and it has the same seats that you have but these are cloth covered instead of your nice leather...

Love the 928BB Targa...if any of our Euro friends are reading this and ever see this car let me know...

I hope the 1980's never come back with more of those seats... Fugly and ugly. Somebody will want them though.

So even with the fat center tunnel, the control panel will fit on the inboard side.
I'd thought it wouldn't till I saw the rainbow seat pictures.

Long live the 80's.
My car was birthed in the 80's.

Though I'm not sure bell-bottoms will work in the 928. I have one pair of cuffed pants that seem to always catch the parking brake as I get out.

Yeah i am with James, they should be reversed.

Not a bad idea now anyway, you can start to wear in the passenger seat so in a few years they will be even, not that they dont look that way now...... oh you know what im saying.
