I have just moved from Edmonton to Vancouver and need to re-register my vehicle here. To do this, I have to go through a road-worthy inspection. Problem is that I have a cracked windshield (common problem in Alberta) which is an automatic fail. Have been quoted over CA$1,900 for a new one (crack is too big to repair)
. Searches on this forum for glass are all fairly old and internet search for used windshields came up blank. Any suggestions or leads to keep my costs down? (I have in-screen antenna)
Cheers

Welcome to the left coast!
The only source for the windshield-with-antenna is through the dealer (at least in the states) for something like $1000 (US). So skip that, and either fit an external antenna (late S4-style) or a hidden antenna tucked under the dash (should work fine around the city).
Roger (rog100 here or www.928srus.com) usually has (non-antenna) windshields in stock and can ship. I would like to find a source or at least a good installer around here, the windshield in our GT is pretty sandblasted.
